“This is a debatable issue. And the discussion is constantly heard in the media and among politicians, including. Therefore, yes, there is a discussion going on today, but of course the state is a global issue. This should be a decision of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, first of all, which should adopt the appropriate changes to the current legislation. And who are the people's deputies of Ukraine - a cross-section of society and a reflection of a cross-section of society. If today people’s deputies and the Verkhovna Rada are not ready for such decisions, then we just need to continue the discussion, discussion, study different experiences, take into account the specifics of Ukraine, including, and consider it expedient to expand the dialogue with our religious associations,” says the Deputy Prime Minister .

In his opinion, this issue is not easy and cannot be resolved in one day.

“But most importantly, I am pleased to note that today this dialogue is ongoing, it is open. And no one is persecuting anyone for participating in this dialogue. And the state policy is that all points of view around this issue have the right to exist and in no way does anyone have the right to limit people from expressing their thoughts around this topic,” he said.

Answering the question about whether the government needs to create some kind of department or department that would deal with the protection of persons providing sex services, Rozenko said: “I believe that the issue is not in departments or structures, but in general understanding of human rights concepts. And we must say that human rights must be ensured at all levels. And this should be done not so much through state institutions, but because of a change in ideology, say, the psychology of every citizen of Ukraine. Therefore, these are not just some legal issues.”
