Groysman punished North Korea for refusing to recognize Crimea as Ukrainian, and banned Ukrainians from traveling to the DPRK
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine terminated the agreement between the USSR and the DPRK on mutual trips of citizens. The corresponding decision was made at a government meeting.

According to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Elena Zerkal, this step is due to Pyongyang’s reluctance to support the territorial integrity of Ukraine and the need to “counter the entry of undesirable persons into the country.”
North Korea was among the countries that voted against the UN General Assembly resolution of March 27, 2014 in support of the territorial integrity of Ukraine in connection with the reunification of Crimea with Russia.
