Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavel Rozenko and Chairman of the European Film Academy Marion Doring discussed issues of holding the European Film Awards ceremony in Kyiv in 2021, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister.
“We are ready to confirm all our abilities – both organizational and financial – and to hold the European Film Academy Awards Ceremony at the highest level,” Rosenko emphasized during the conversation.
According to the official, the recent events that took place in Kyiv, in particular the final of the Eurovision song contest and the final of the UEFA Champions League, were organized at a very high level.
He also thanked the European Film Academy for supporting Ukraine’s efforts to free Ukrainian terrorist Oleg Sentsov, convicted in the Russian Federation.
“We are grateful for the tremendous support of Ukraine’s efforts to free the illegally convicted Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov. I hope that through joint efforts - the President of Ukraine, public initiatives and the world community - we will be able to achieve the release of Oleg Sentsov and other prisoners of the Russian regime,” Rozenko noted.
