The Cabinet of Ministers created the state institution “Ukrainian Institute”, which will monitor the image of Ukraine abroad.

The corresponding decision was made during today's government meeting.
The purpose of creating the institute is to understand modern Ukraine and increase confidence in it in the international intellectual and cultural environment as a tourist and investment country. The institute will also contribute to the integration of the country into the context of not only art and culture, but also science, education and many other areas.
The Institute will be affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but at the same time will be independent in determining the content of its work. Control over the work of the Ukrainian Institute, as well as the determination of principles and priorities, will be carried out by the supervisory board.
It will include outstanding cultural public figures who are known abroad and have similar institutional experience and achievements, responsible leaders, as well as one representative each from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture.
The institute will be financed partly from the state budget, as well as from charitable contributions and donor assistance.
The headquarters will be located in Kyiv, and its representative offices will be in a dozen capitals around the world.
