Groysman is waiting for 50 billion dollars
Ukraine expects to attract more than UAH 50 billion in hydrocarbon production as a result of 12 production sharing agreements (PSAs), a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Igor Nasalik, the Government Portal reports.
“The conclusion of 12 PSA in these areas will allow us to attract at least 10 billion UAH for geological exploration and at least 50 billion UAH for production. The increase in hydrocarbon reserves should be 110-120 million tons of equivalent fuel, and production in two to three years should be at least 5-6 million tons of equivalent fuel,” he said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Tuesday.
According to him, the agreements with Shell, Chevron and ExxonMobil are taken as a basis.
“To increase transparency, we included a rule, which was insisted on, among other things, by deputies of the Verkhovna Rada Fuel and Energy Committee, so that applicants disclose not only their participants, but also the actual final beneficiaries,” he added.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at a meeting on Tuesday approved resolutions on holding 11 open tenders for the conclusion of a PSA for hydrocarbon production within the Grunevsky, Varvinsky, Rusanovsky, Akhtyrsky, Buzovsky, Zenkovsky, Ivanovsky, Ichnyansky, Balakleysky, Sofievsky and Berestyansky sections. Also, according to I. Nasalik, the Ugnovsky site will be put up for competition.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the transfer of 90% of the rights and obligations of Nadra Yuzovskaya LLC in the production sharing agreement (PSA) for the Yuzovskaya area (Kharkiv and Donetsk regions) in favor of Yuzgaz BV (the Netherlands) with the investor-operator of the project represented by the Slovak Nafta company.
