Kyiv, December 17 (Navigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – A rally against corruption in the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate (GACI) was held near the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The organizers of the action were the People's Self-Defense of Kyiv and the People's Lustration Center.

“Currently the scheme is this: if you want to obtain permits, you must contact only one company that provides these services. All issues are resolved through this structure, which has monopolized this area. If earlier the situation was somewhat more transparent, there were several organizations through which documents could be processed, but now the scheme is one in which there are all the signs of corruption. This scheme is implemented by several people.
We tried to communicate with representatives of GASI, wrote letters there, but achieved nothing. Therefore, today, under the walls of the Cabinet of Ministers, we demand that the Minister of Housing and Communal Services deal with this situation directly.
We hope that our action will attract attention. If they don’t hear us today, we will go out until they hear us,” said Anton Dudchenko, a representative of the People’s Lustration Center.
To solve the problem, the protesters propose creating a committee, which should include representatives of the people's self-defense, the prosecutor's office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and a number of lustration and anti-corruption organizations.
