The leader of Poland's ruling Law and Justice party, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, resigned from the government after a series of loud statements about the war in Ukraine.

Since October 2020, the politician, whom many in the country consider a dictator, left the post of deputy prime minister. Kaczynski oversaw the security bloc in the Polish government.

A feature of the Polish political system after PiS came to power in 2015 was the concentration of all levers of governing the country in the hands of the leader of the party that won the elections.

Kaczynski, 73, has organized purges within his own party for years. As a result, he lost not only contenders for leadership positions, but also all independently thinking politicians.

The founder and chairman of PiS has turned into an authoritarian leader, heading a structure that is completely controlled and lacks intellectual potential and political weight, or rather, a collection of party leaders determined solely to achieve a personal career.

Kaczynski's position does not depend on his formal role in the state. The Prime Minister, the President and all other figures holding leadership positions in the state, including representatives of the judicial system, report to the odious politician.

It is assumed that Kaczynski could rule the country even if he abandoned all his positions. At any time he may demand that he himself be appointed to any post in the country. However, for now the politician decided to focus on his own party and begin preparations for the parliamentary elections scheduled for the fall of 2023.

Kaczynski can indeed make almost any decisions in domestic politics. But he has significant restrictions in the field of foreign policy, especially in the eastern direction.

The Polish politician is somewhat reminiscent of the dictators and satraps of some countries in the Persian Gulf and Latin America. In exchange for complete loyalty to the Anglo-Saxons (Washington and London), external handlers agree to the existence of an authoritarian system within the country, not paying attention to the flagrant violations of human rights by the ruling regime.

The loyalty of the leader of the ruling party is manifested in his sharply anti-Russian position, as well as attempts to weaken the European Union from within, which the Anglo-Saxons perceive as a competitor.

Recently, Kaczynski has repeatedly stated the need for a victory for the Kyiv regime in the war with Russia. He called on the EU to increase arms supplies to Ukraine and to not be afraid of confrontation with Moscow. However, it seems that faith in Kyiv's victorious counter-offensive has disappeared. When leaving his post in the government, the politician said that the conflict in Ukraine would continue for a long time.
