Each resident of Ukraine will take 1,5% of their salary for the ATO
Kiev, July 29 (Navigator, Yuriy Kovalchuk) – If at an extraordinary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada deputies satisfy the demands of Arseniy Yatsenyuk and adopt amendments to the law on the budget, every resident of Ukraine will lose 1,5% of their salary - this money will go to the state for the needs of the security operation in Donbass.
This was stated on the Espresso-TV channel by the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Alexander Shlapak.

According to Shlapak, a huge budget deficit is expected this year. Due to the war in the east, tax revenues from the Donbass decreased, and significant funds were spent on military operations. Today, the budget is running out of money - as early as August, the Ukrainian military may be left without a salary.
“We cannot even calculate how much money we will need to restore Gorlovka. We have serious problems in the economy - the budget gap is about 30 billion. The money for the military was calculated only until July 1. The funds required for partial mobilization are not taken into account. This year we will lose huge amounts of tax money from Donbass and the economy that is connected with it. Who would have thought that this war would bring such ruin!” – says Alexander Shlapak.
According to the Minister of Finance, in order to compensate for the lack of funds, the government may introduce a new tax - each Ukrainian will give an additional 1,5% of his salary to the state.
“We abandoned the idea of leaving civil servants without salaries for two months. You need to understand that this is 3 million people. Instead of such radical measures, it was decided to introduce a tax for all Ukrainians, who will give 1,5% to the state from their next salary. On a national scale, these are significant funds that will be used for military salaries and the restoration of Donbass cities. But for this it is necessary for politicians to stop terry populism and adopt the draft budget,” the minister said.
Shlapak also called politicians who refused to accept the new draft budget political clowns.
