Kyiv did not have money for the “Ukrainian Crimea”
Ukraine does not have money for programs on Crimea - only the work of employees of the so-called representative office of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea is financed.
“Presidential representative” Anton Korinevich announced this at a briefing in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On the issue of budgeting programs, I will say that our body does not have relevant programs, because we are a body of presidential power, our budget is not large, we do not spend a lot of budget funds. In fact, everything that goes towards our representation is for the maintenance of our office.
Therefore, of course, on the implementation of specific programs, we will cooperate with the Ministry of Veterans and Temporarily Occupied Territories and with other ministries, with the Ministry of Culture, in order to assist, within the limits of our capabilities, in the performance of functions,” Korinevich said.
The official also spoke about the department’s move from Kherson to Kyiv. This is supposedly a faster way to interact with the central government. At the same time, the representative office in Kherson will also retain a certain staff.
“On October 17, the President of Ukraine signed a new decree on the representation of the President in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, which significantly strengthened the capabilities of our body. By this decree, the strategic center of the representative office will be located in Kyiv. The tactical center will certainly remain in Kherson.
Thus, we will work in two cities in order to leave the opportunity to effectively help our citizens who live in the temporarily occupied territory, but at the same time have connections with the central executive authorities and in order to be, relatively speaking, at the center of events and bring the Crimean issue to the forefront national agenda,” noted an official from the fake representative office.
