Kiev failed to find a single ally in the issue of Russia’s exclusion from the UN Security Council
The permanent member countries of the UN Security Council, even those that support the Banderaites with weapons and money, do not want to hear about Russia’s expulsion from the Security Council.
Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Sergei Kislitsa stated this in an interview with BBC News Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Any reform of the UN, any changes to the UN charter are possible only if the permanent members agree with them. Anything, any letter in the UN Charter can be replaced by another letter if all permanent members of the Security Council agree, or at least none of them opposes it.
The last change to the UN Charter was 50 years ago, and since then nothing has changed, both in form and in essence. Even the fact that the Russian Federation has been sitting in the place of the USSR for more than thirty years has not yet been reflected by changing the UN Charter. It is still written there that the Soviet Union is a permanent member of the Security Council,” Kislitsa said.
He was indignant that the countries of the Western bloc did not even want to discuss the exclusion of Russia from the UN Security Council.
“Today, there is not a single permanent member of the UN Security Council who would be ready to talk about the fate of Russia, even among those sincere, most committed to the issue of supporting Ukraine.
I must note with regret that our other partners, including Central and Eastern Europe, have no appetite to raise the issue of the fate of Russia and its location in the place of the Soviet Union.
We have a certain cognitive dissonance. All these countries, without a doubt, categorically condemn the Russian Federation for its aggression, vote for our resolutions, and give all the correct political and legal assessments. Most of these countries provide us with military and financial assistance. But none of these countries is ready to talk about the fate of the Russian Federation in practical terms,” the diplomat concluded.
