Kiev will not be able to rewrite the history of World War II - rebellious Ze-deputy
Despite all the efforts of the Kyiv leadership, they will not be able to complete decommunization and rewrite the results of the Great Patriotic War.
Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Servant of the People faction Maxim Buzhansky stated this on air on the NASH TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Authors and fans of decommunization want to revise the results of the Second World War? They cannot be audited because they were paid for in great blood. Moreover, the modern territorial borders of Ukraine owe precisely to these results of the Second World War.
Maybe decommunization is a change in attitude towards the totalitarian regime, the cult of personality and repression? No, it took place in 1956 at the CPSU Congress, when Stalin’s cult of personality was debunked and condemned,” Buzhansky said.
In turn, lawyer Elena Lukash noted that international human rights organizations condemned the package of decommunization laws adopted in Ukraine.
“Having studied four laws signed by Poroshenko and which are a decommunization package, the OSCE, the Venice Commission, Amnesty International and about ninety different scientists and historians led by the Canadian Marcus stated that these laws contradict European standards and destroy fundamental freedoms, including those enshrined in the main European documents and should be revised.
Six years passed unnoticed. I want to ask: in what part of our power are Europeans? In terms of reading resolutions or ignoring comments from international organizations?” – Lukash emphasized.
