This opinion was expressed on TV channel 112 by Kiev political scientist Andrei Ermolaev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have a chance in 18 to launch this reintegration process. It's not too late yet. Because the next crisis wave, which is real and economists are talking about it openly, is the fading of the economy, the possibility of financial turmoil, the possibility of the destruction of financial pyramids with the participation of the budget, not to mention the crisis in a number of industries that were the drivers of the Ukrainian economy, could lead to the domino principle and new consequences - new unemployment, crisis in certain regions. And a crisis is always the ground for the same separatism and then for the federal idea. Now we can rely on self-government and give them the right to self-organization,” Ermolaev said.
