At a meeting of the Kyiv City Council on February 7, deputies supported the decision of the Verkhovna Rada to enshrine in the Constitution Ukraine’s course towards integration into the EU and NATO, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“At this moment, a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada is taking place and this vote, this decision by a constitutional majority, more than 300 votes, fixed the course towards the EU and NATO. It is very important. I am convinced that we must support this,” the mayor said.

After this, the City Council deputies stood up and gave a standing ovation.

As PolitNavigator reported, today Verkhovna Rada adopted the amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine on the “strategic course towards the EU and NATO”.
