Klitschko shrugs - under the nose of the mayor's office, vandals sawed off the leg of the symbol of Kyiv

This was reported in the Department of Information Support and Communication of the Kyiv City State Administration.
“The horse’s leg was broken, and of course the police must respond and begin appropriate investigative actions based on this fact, identifying the persons who are responsible. Because for now, as I know, the monument is included in the state register and it is protected by law,” noted the Kyiv City State Administration.
The exact time of the incident is not known, but it probably happened at night.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator previously reported, on March 15, the permanent commission of the Kyiv City Council on culture, tourism and information policy agreed on an appeal to the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine regarding the demolition of the monument to Nikolai Shchors as part of the so-called decommunization. Now, the document must be approved by deputies at the session. Previously, Ukrainian nationalists from the armed group OUN demanded that the authorities demolish the monument to the red commander who defeated Symon Petliura.
Possessing historical and artistic value, the monument to Shchors has rightfully been considered one of the calling cards of the capital of Ukraine for decades.
