Today, the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko presented the 5th generation PESA trams, which depict portraits of famous Ukrainian figures, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The first trams on the Borshchagovskaya Line route were with portraits of Yaroslav the Wise and his daughter Anna.
In the future, images of Serge Lifar, Vladislav Gorodetsky, Kazimir Malevich, one of the former mayors of tsarist times, Ivan Fundukley, Maria Zankovetskaya, Alexander Vertinsky and others will also appear on the carriages. In addition, each tram has a video screen on which a short video about a particular outstanding personality will be shown.
Also, according to the mayor, in order to launch new trams it is necessary to relocate tram tracks in some places.
