Klitschko plans to spend 400 million hryvnia in a year and a half to reconstruct the collapsed bridge

This was stated by the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko, the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration reports.
“I trust people who are experts, have been involved in construction all their lives, and deeply understand the situation. And now our task is to implement this project as quickly and efficiently as possible,” Klitschko said.
He said that the Town Planning Council had chosen a project for the reconstruction of the transport interchange at the intersection of Pobeda Avenue and the street. Hetman (Shulyavsky overpass) from seven proposals, based on the cost, timing of its implementation and optimal traffic organization.
According to him, the estimated cost of the project is UAH 400 million. Work should begin in the fall and will last a year and a half.
At the same time, according to the mayor, the alternative reconstruction option with the construction of a reverse ring has a number of disadvantages, including a longer closure of Pobeda Avenue, costly relocation of communications running deep underground, and the installation of a pumping station to drain water.
“Thus, this option is extended in time and much more expensive - its cost is about 1,5 billion UAH. I want to emphasize that I rely exclusively on the expert assessment of people who are specialists in their field,” Klitschko noted.
Earlier it was reported that China will allocate $70 million to Kyiv for the repair of the Shulyavsky Bridge.
