Kyiv, July 25 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – At a meeting of the Kyiv City Council chaired by Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko at the beginning of the session, the Ukrainian anthem was performed with a verse about “a bloody battle from Xiang to Don.”

The verse, which is not in the official version of the Ukrainian anthem, was sung by comrades from Oleg Lyashko’s faction, on whose lists members of the Social Nationalist Assembly entered the city council.
Not all deputies present in the hall supported the performance of this verse.
Earlier, Lyashko introduced a draft law in the Verkhovna Rada to include this verse in the official version of the Ukrainian anthem.
