Klimkin hopes to persuade Hungary to recognize Russia as an “aggressor”
In Milan, on the sidelines of the 25th OSCE Ministerial Meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin met with the Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Szijjártó, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Ukraine will continue to demonstrate its commitment to a positive shift in Ukrainian-Hungarian relations,” the message says.
“Pavel Klimkin informed his Hungarian colleague about Russia’s act of aggression against Ukraine in the Kerch Strait and called on official Budapest to join the international community’s efforts to contain the Russian aggressor.
The ministers also agreed to intensify interregional cooperation and speed up the implementation of joint cross-border infrastructure projects, in particular those that were discussed on November 26, 2018 at the level of Deputy Ministers of Ukraine and Hungary Vasily Bodnar and Levent Magyar.
During the meeting, issues of streamlining the provision of Hungarian assistance in the development of Transcarpathia, which will be coordinated by the new Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Nikolay Baltazy and the Commissioner of the Minister for the Development of Cooperation between the Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg Region and the Transcarpathian Region, Mr. Istvan Greza, were also discussed,” – Klimkin’s department added.
