“Such illegal actions, along with the holding of the so-called “parliamentary elections” in the occupied Abkhaz region of Georgia on March 12, 2017, are a gross violation of international law and an integral element of Russia’s neo-imperial policy aimed at destabilizing and subjugating the states of Eastern Europe,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
