According to the document, diplomatic missions and consular offices of Ukraine abroad accept applications for renunciation of Ukrainian citizenship, and also prepare applications for the loss of citizenship regarding persons permanently residing abroad, while the State Migration Service exercises the authority to terminate the citizenship of persons residing on the territory of Ukraine. service.
According to information available from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2005, the citizenship of Ukraine of 87 persons was terminated: in 376 - 2005 persons, in 7 - 139, in 2006 - 5, in 944 - 2007, in 9 - 454, in 2008 - 8, in 879 - 2009, in 6 - 420, in 2010 - 6, in 985 - 2011, in 7 - 461, in 2012 - 7, and in January-June 123 - 2013. Of the 7 persons, the citizenship of Ukraine was terminated for 615 by renunciation, 2014 by international agreements, and 5 by loss.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the majority of applications for renunciation of Ukrainian citizenship come from Germany, Russia, Austria, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Lithuania and Latvia, and Ukraine has agreements on a simplified procedure for changing citizenship for those who have left for permanent residence abroad with Belarus, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
At the same time, as reported by the State Migration Service upon request, 5 persons have received Ukrainian citizenship since 609. In particular, according to the Migration Service, by presidential decrees 2012 persons were granted Ukrainian citizenship in 2012, in 660 - 2013, in 1 - 425, in 2014 - 1, in 329 - 2015, and in January-June 978 - 2016 .
