This was reported by the press service of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine.
According to its data, in the association’s rating, Ukraine received 3,5 points and was behind such liquid hubs as NBP (UK), TTF (Netherlands), ZTP (Belgium), NCG (Germany), but ahead of Bulgaria and Romania, which began the process of gas liberalization market much earlier than our country.
To improve its position in the EFET ranking, Ukraine should establish tariffs at domestic entry/exit points of the GTS, introduce daily balancing with the settlement of imbalances, and begin to use short-term standardized products on the trading platform within the limits of daily balancing.
“The adoption of the draft amendments to the GTS Code, developed by Ukrtransgaz and submitted to the regulator, will help the Ukrainian hub to significantly improve its position and rise in the next EFET review,” NAC notes.
As reported, at the end of 2016, Naftogaz of Ukraine became an associated member of EFET, which includes more than a hundred energy trading companies from 27 European countries.
