Kolomoisky was called upon to ditch the IMF
Ukraine is doomed to give everything it earns to the International Monetary Fund, and these amounts are already equal to the country’s budget.
The former assistant of the Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Svyatoslav Oleynik, said this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A prime minister who is not oriented toward the West must unequivocally refuse external debt and its servicing. I don’t think that now there will be a prime minister who can do this, because this is actually a political kamikaze. This is the only thing that can be done - such a debt is not repaid. This is debt at the cost of building a new country. It is very important that you find the strength to put an end to this.
We did not borrow this money, especially since those generations who are already living today are being born. And if we take the path of permanent restructuring of this debt, this is a road to nowhere. This will not allow the economy and the country to develop; it will simply give away everything it has earned,” Oleynik said.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Kolomoisky in an interview with the Financial Times called on President Zelensky to declare a default on the obligations of Ukraine.
Also oligarch called for a smaller new president listen to the West so as not to end up like Poroshenko.
