“Lugansk” and “Artemovsk” battalions are being created in Dnepropetrovsk
Dnepropetrovsk, June 02 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Dnepropetrovsk region began the formation of the “Lugansk” and “Artemovsk” battalions.

This was announced by the head of the public relations department of the Main Department of Internal Affairs in the Dnepropetrovsk region, Alexey Shcherbatov.
“Each battalion has 200 people, perhaps later they will be transferred to Dnepr-1.” The battalion will consist of Ukrainian citizens who, based on their physical qualities, after appropriate checks, can be police officers,” he said.
He explained the “eastern” names of the battalions with “symbolism”.
“We chose symbolic names. Not only residents of the region, but also residents of other districts and regions are invited to join the battalions. They will be departments of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs. There is no primary goal of sending them to those areas,” Shcherbatov said.
He stated that there is also an initiative by the local authorities of Krivoy Rog to create a company “Krivbass” with an estimated strength of 100 people.
As Navigator reported, earlier the leadership of the Donbass volunteer detachment announced that the formation was recognized by the Kyiv authorities and would receive heavy weapons.
