The titles of honorary citizens of Kiev will be taken away from communists and those who doubt Klitschko’s authority
Today the Kiev Council has decided in what cases the city authorities will deprive the title of honorary citizens of Kyiv.

In particular, by decision of the Kyiv City Council, a person may be deprived of the title of “Honorary Citizen of the City of Kiev” in the event of committing a serious or especially serious crime, a crime against the foundations of national security, a crime against the authority of government bodies, local governments and citizens’ associations, crimes in the sphere of official activities, crimes against peace, the security of humanity and international law and order.
The title “honorary” is also removed from citizens who were members of the Communist Party within the meaning of Art. 1 of the Law of Ukraine “On the condemnation of the communist and national socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes in Ukraine and the ban on the propaganda of their symbols.”
