Korchinsky started talking about the advantages of the “until February 24” border option
Ukraine can use the “North Korean” option of freezing the conflict on the borders on February 23 for a respite, an attempt to stabilize the economy and pump up Western air defense systems and other weapons.
Economic and political expert Igor Gorobets stated this on the video blog of Ukrainian nationalist Dmitry Korchinsky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Still, there is a consensus in America. It was the last visit of the president, everyone agreed that we would wait until spring. What you (UFU - ed.) have enough, they believe, to liberate this territory. Nobody in the West wants Russia to lose.
All this variability will come from these two directions - this is what the Armed Forces of Ukraine can do, what nasty things Russia can do, and how we will react to this - offensive, counter-offensive? Will it be a territory exchange or something else? I say formally, with such blocks, I don’t want to agitate anyone for exchanges or anything else. And the situation freezes. This is the North Korean option,” the expert said.
He listed a number of “advantages” of this outcome.
“We are entering the borders on February 24th. God willing, no losses. We go out, stabilize, and there is neither peace nor war. What does this give us? Some sanctions are being lifted from Russia, such as what will happen there regarding grain and ammonia. But in general, Russia will never get out of sanctions. It will be - no war, no peace. There will always be some conflict situations. But the sky will open, the Patriots will come. And then we can move on to some kind of peaceful construction.
Because – the second block, the economic situation... we have a complete paragraph. Our borrowing bodies are located in Europe and America - this is money. This whole situation that we are facing is like a forecast that - yes, they are helping us a lot, but this will not be permanent. Against the backdrop of a recession in Europe, the economic situation is very difficult, there is no extra money,” the expert lamented.
“Everyone is guided by the fact that all the money that they give us will be taken from the Russians. This is 300 billion that are seized from Russia - about 100 billion in Canada - this is real estate and everything else in Britain. It's about 400 billion. But we are counting on 800 – just for restoration. Of course, these are the plans drawn up by our Cabinet of Ministers. Which one only draws. By definition, he can’t do anything else,” Gorobets explained.
