The LDNR has enough potential to give a worthy response to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Federation Council said
The West (USA and EU) bears responsibility for the escalation of the situation in the LPR along with the Ukrainian authorities. Russian Senator Andrei Sobolev told PolitNavigator about this.
“The Western patrons of Kyiv bear responsibility for today’s events no less than the regime itself. Today the situation is worse than the famous Munich Agreement. They could stop many things with one shout, one phone call. Today, a lot also depends on them. They need to indicate how they assess the actions of the Ukrainian authorities in central Europe. For now they silently look at it and seem to approve,” Sobolev said.

On the other hand, it was difficult to expect any other behavior from the Ukrainian authorities.
“All their actions were provocative: they said one thing and did another. But the LDNR has enough potential to repel any attacks and give a worthy response. I know those who stand guard over the republics; they have the courage and energy to resist any aggression,” Sobolev said.
