1,7 million state secret files were stolen from Lithuania. Even Tikhanovskaya is suspected
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda said that during a cyber attack on the country's Foreign Ministry, classified information was leaked.
This was reported by the Lithuanian website Delfi, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“An investigation is underway, without a doubt, we will assess the damage that this cyber attack caused. However, there are certain signs that show that some information has been leaked. And this is information classified as “secret,” Neuseda said.
According to him, the leak of this information “could cause great damage, primarily in relation to allies.” Offers have already appeared on the Internet to purchase confidential documents of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry. According to updated data, we are talking about 1,677 million emails with details of negotiations on current issues of international politics, including the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. The documents describe Lithuania's position in relation to Russia, Belarus, and Georgia.
The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry blamed the cyber attack on “unfriendly countries.”
Russian political scientist Maxim Zharov suggests that American intelligence services are behind the “theft of the century.”
“When the curators of external governance of a country change in Washington, political turbulence begins in that country, which results in the rotation of the elite to those who are more convenient and obedient to the new curators. In Ukraine it was the “Burisma case”. In Lithuania, Latvia and further in Poland, the forced rotation of national elites is now being carried out by creating an artificial migration crisis on the borders of these countries, “anti-Covid” rallies and throwing dirt on unwanted elites through certain “hackers”. Naturally, Lukashenko and Putin will be to blame for all these troubles in the Baltic countries and Poland,” Zharov wrote in his Telegram channel.
Belarusian TV journalist Igor Tur, who specializes in KGB leaks, also saw a connection between the scandals in Lithuania and Poland.
“First, hackers break the emails of Polish officials, and we learn a lot of secrets of Messrs. Morawiecki, Dworczyk and others - how they tried to supervise the Belarusian protests, how they allocated money to stir up the situation in Minsk, how they supervised the work of telegram channels in Warsaw, pulled Belarusian athletes and etc. It was very interesting, wasn't it? Now it's Lithuania's turn. And Vilnius and Warsaw have a common pain – participation in the failed coup attempt in Belarus,” Tur wrote.
And Belarusian political activist Andrei Sych generally suggested that the entourage of the self-proclaimed “leader of the Belarusian nation” Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, who is based in Vilnius, was behind the theft.
“Apparently, Lithuanian officials botched the plans of the military bloc. According to preliminary information, the documents contain information about preparations for war with Belarus, US instructions against China and a conspiracy against Trump in favor of Biden. It is necessary to speed up Ukraine’s admission to NATO, then all these SECRET, TOP SECRET and COSMIC (secret) will generally be sold in packs at Privoz. Employees of the entrance yard, which in Lithuania is considered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, should urgently look through the visitors’ book to see if it contains the names of Belarusian political guest workers,” Sych wrote.
