Lutsenko wants to imprison the top manager of the oligarch Zhivago bank for “laundering” a billion hryvnia
The Prosecutor General's Office reported suspicion of money laundering in the amount of UAH 1 billion to the ex-chairman of the board and one of the deputy chairmen of the board of JSC Bank Finance and Credit. A petition was filed with the court to apply a preventive measure in the form of detention to the suspects.

It is reported by the press service of the Ministry.
They were informed of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – “Appropriation, embezzlement of property or taking possession of it through abuse of official position on an especially large scale or by an organized group”, which provides for 7 to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
According to the investigation, the bankers, “with the help of non-residents of Ukraine, including one offshore company, the ultimate beneficial owner of which is a citizen of Ukraine - a former assistant to one of the people’s deputies of Ukraine, illegally withdrew the bank’s assets in the amount of over 1 billion UAH.”
A set of investigative and search actions is ongoing in order to establish all the circumstances of the criminal offense committed, bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure compensation for the losses caused.
Bank Finance and Credit is owned by oligarch Konstantin Zhevago.
