Lutsenko found use for two elite cars of the Ukrainian oligarch
The General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine, by a court decision, transferred to the National Agency of Ukraine for the identification, search and management of assets obtained from corruption and other crimes, the seized two luxury cars belonging to businessman Sergei Kurchenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Press Secretary of the Prosecutor General's Office Andrei Lysenko reported this on his Facebook page.
“We inform you that two elite vehicles (an armored BMW 760i and an Aston Martin Rapide) belonging to suspect K., which were registered to dummies,” wrote a representative of the GPU.
As the agency learned, this citizen “K.”, whose cars were handed over to ARMA today, is fugitive businessman Sergei Kurchenko.
On March 7, the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv granted permission to conduct a special preliminary investigation into businessman Sergei Kurchenko, suspected of creating and supporting the activities of a criminal organization.
According to the investigation, Kurchenko organized the illegal acquisition of liquefied gas produced by PJSC Ukrgazvydobuvannya, PJSC Ukrnafta and state-owned liquefied gas for a total amount of UAH 2,2 billion by an organized criminal group headed by him through its illegal acquisition at specialized auctions at prices significantly lower than market prices, supposedly “for the needs of the population.”
