“There was an emergency shutdown of two power units. There is only one block left in the works. The reason is that the 220 kV Yubileinaya overhead line was damaged by military operations, and fighting is taking place in the Bakhmutovka area. The station itself was not shelled. The station could produce more electricity, but there are no lines to supply power: out of 22 high-voltage lines, only 1 remains in operation,” the DTEK press service reported.

Energy workers are making efforts to prevent the station from shutting down completely.

As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the governor of the Lugansk region Gennady Moskal said that near Bakhumtovka, about a hundred Ukrainian military personnel were surrounded.
