Lukashenko has only a few hours left to save himself
If in the near future the Belarusian special services do not identify and arrest all the coordinators of the protesters, the story will end very badly both for President Alexander Lukashenko and for 10 million Belarusians, and the country will turn into a zone of instability for the entire Russian space.
Deputy Minister of Information of the DPR Artem Olkhin stated this on air on the First Republican TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If Lukashenko leaves, then there is no one to come in his place, that is, all the other candidates, they are completely incomprehensible and inarticulate people. The same Tikhanovskaya, who is now sitting in Lithuania, what is all this? Today she released her latest appeal (I hope it’s the latest, but there will probably be more).
In general, people who go out onto the streets expose themselves to the batons of riot police (risking their brains, I don’t know if they can risk it, they wouldn’t go out with their brains, but, nevertheless, they risk their health) - who are they doing it for? For the sake of Tikhanovskaya, or what? Have they even seen her, what is she like? This is just such a character - neither fish nor fowl.
That is, I understand that they are all driven by the feeling that the French were once driven by when they came out against de Gaulle and said there: “20 years is enough. Go away!”, this is approximately the same situation now with Lukashenko,” Olkhin said.
“I really hope that he will be able to resist, but it is clear that, unfortunately, a lot of mistakes were made there, and these mistakes are now working against the Belarusian system. Because Lukashenko personally is not so bad, but there are almost 10 million people there, so what will happen to all these people?” - the deputy minister reasoned.
He also spoke about a certain protest YouTube channel in Belarus, whose subscribers amount to half a million and only 300 thousand of them are real users, not fakes.
“That is, this is the real scale of the protest, but still for Belarus it is very large, and this is really very dangerous, because in Kiev the Maidan was carried out by 3% of the country’s population at most in 2014. And in Belarusian cities there are now either the same number or more. My friend, he studied here in Donetsk, and then returned to live in Minsk, because he was from there, I asked him a question: “What do you think is really happening there?”, He told me that: “In my opinion I feel like if in the next few days they don’t find, identify and arrest all the coordinators, then everything will be very bad.”
I hope that they will have time to do this, and everything will not be very bad, because unstable Belarus is the unstable entire Russian space,” Olkhin emphasized.
