Lyashko threatens Zelensky with bloody Maidan
Under the Soviet Union, huge amounts of gas were produced in Ukraine, but with the advent of “independence” the industry collapsed, all profits were siphoned off into their pockets by oligarchs and thieving officials.
Deputy from the “Radical Party” Oleg Kuprienko reported this during the plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In 1979, when I was in ninth grade, Ukraine produced 68 billion cubic meters of gas in a year. Where did it go? Independence began, and every year the people have less and less gas, and the oligarchs have more and more in their pockets.
There is enough Ukrainian gas for our people, and there is even a lot left. The Constitution says that mineral resources belong to the people. Dear state, give the people what belongs to them at a price, albeit not at cost, but at a markup, like in a store - 20%.
How much does it cost? ...Give me at least three thousand (hryvnia per thousand cubic meters of gas, - ed.), but they say: “No, we will give you eight each,” the people’s deputy noted.
Kuprienko threatened that if the new leadership of Ukraine does not lower tariffs, the people will come to a new, bloodier Maidan.
“Dear Cabinet of Ministers, you created Naftogaz and put Kobolev there, whose salary is two million hryvnia per working day. Where have you seen this in Ukraine? I paid myself a bonus of one and a half billion hryvnia, and this is a KamAZ with a trailer, if in hundred-hryvnia bills...
Who are you kidding? People, because for now they are silent and patient. In 2004 and 2014, Ukraine showed that this will not be tolerated. Will we wait until 2024? But in 2004 there was a peaceful protest, and in 2014 the “heavenly hundred” were killed, war began, blood, death. Will we wait until 2024? No, we will come to the elections and choose those who fight for the people,” the radical concluded the speech.
