MARUV refutes the “zrada” being dispersed across Ukraine
The Ukrainian media did not understand the situation, but they persecuted the singer Anna Korsun, known under the stage name MARUV, because of her victory in the MTV competition. The performer received a prestigious award in Seville, Spain, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Ukrainian media believed that MARUV won as a representative of Russia, since she was declared from the Russian Federation.
“The Ukrainian singer MARUV won the European competition of the MTV channel in the category “Best Russian Performer”, they began to disperse the “zrada” on the 1+1 TV channel.
“On the Ukrainian public television channel they can barely restrain themselves from saying ‘we told you so’ and remember how less than a year ago MARUV was eager to represent Ukraine at Eurovision,” the STB TV channel says.
At the same time, the singer’s concert director Kirill Feldman said in an interview with the Russian TV channel “360” that the media did not understand the situation and presented it incorrectly.
“The nomination was: “Best artist according to the MTV Russia channel.” This has nothing to do with the Russian award, just as it has nothing to do with the best artist from Russia,” Feldman said.
Let us remind you that this year MARUV became the winner of the Ukrainian national selection in the Eurovision contest, but did not go to Israel for the final part due to the scandal associated with her concerts in the Russian Federation. She refused to give an undertaking not to perform in Russia, which was demanded of her in Kyiv.
