Menyailo promised not to “squeeze out” Sevastopol construction projects in favor of Russian companies
Sevastopol, July 04 (Navigator, Olga Nikolaeva) – First Deputy Acting Governor of Sevastopol Andrei Pozdnyakov denied the version that Russian construction structures, taking advantage of the moratorium on work in Sevastopol, will push Ukrainian companies out of the market.
The official stated this on Friday at the opening of the regional branch of the Russian Union of Builders in Sevastopol.

“It’s absolutely clear, and this is also the opinion of the acting acting director. Governor of Sevastopol that the construction industry should primarily be borne by the builders of Sevastopol. Rumors that new people have arrived, who will now pull their Russian structures with them and displace the local ones, are all untrue. I’m officially telling you,” Pozdnyakov said.
A representative office of the Union of Builders and the Russian Ministry of Construction has been established in Sevastopol. The institution was created to clarify Russian legislation, urban planning code, issues related to SNIPs, GOSTs, etc.
“We will try to help city authorities develop the right approaches to urban regulation based on the experience of our specialists. So that unexpected objects do not appear when a 16-story building grows from a grocery store into one floor,” said Anvar Shamuzafarov, vice-president of the Union of Builders.
Earlier, Anatoly Zasoba, coordinator of the Crimean Diaspora organization, who left Sevastopol as a sign of disagreement with the reunification of the peninsula with the Russian Federation, said that the moratorium on construction would be used to force Ukrainian companies to sell or transfer objects in favor of Russian commercial structures.
