This was stated by the Deputy Governor of Sevastopol, Director of the Department of Internal Policy, Civil Service and Personnel Evgeniy Dubovik.
According to him, “a social activist who works for money is no longer a social activist.” In this regard, the draft law only provides for assistance to the Public Chamber “in matters of office development and the like.”
Also, the official noted, premises will definitely be allocated.
“If social activists get paid, then they will be officials carrying out someone’s orders,” explained the deputy governor.
According to the draft law, the Public Chamber will be able to include public organizations registered in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, as well as those citizens who have shown themselves to be the best in their field. Evgeniy Dubovik called on social activists to “discuss, think and support” this proposal.
At the same time, according to him, the Public Chamber of Sevastopol will not copy the Moscow or St. Petersburg experience.
"It is not right. Sevastopol is completely different,” said Evgeniy Dubovik.
