Muzhenko swears that there is no end to those who want to fight with Russia
Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko states that more people came to the training camp for first-line reservists, which started on December 3, than required, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He said this on air on the ICTV channel.
“We have begun preparing operational reserve number one. And we received many more people willing to undergo training than we needed. And this is a big plus. People come on their own, and even some are offended that they didn’t make it (to the exercises - Ed.),” said Muzhenko.
He showed a map with the supposed deployment of Russian military and weapons on the border with Ukraine and explained that the exercises were needed to repel possible aggression.
“The nature of the deployment of these units (Russia - Ed.) shows that appropriate offensive groups can be created in the shortest possible time. And the direction of their actions is Ukraine,” Muzhenko said.
He added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces consider not only the Donetsk-Lugansk direction, but also the border with Russia as a whole, both in the northeast and on the sea side, as potentially dangerous.
As PolitNavigator reported, on December 3, the training centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began gathering the first-stage operational reserve - the military will be taken to exercises to increase combat readiness in the event of an attack.
