The Nazis are hysterical: Ukrainian TV channel is going to celebrate Victory Day on air in a big way
Ukrainian nationalists were outraged by the announcement of a festive telethon concert in honor of May 9, “Victory. One for all" on the Inter TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“You shouldn’t be afraid of the Russian world in Kyiv. He's already here. Meet on the screens of national TV channels and on the streets on May 9,” wrote Mejlis propagandist, director of the ATR TV channel Aider Muzhdabaev under the video on his Facebook page.
The community of Ukrainian nationalist associations “Vilni People” stated that the “Victory. One for all" contradicts "Ukrainian national interests, directly propagates the ideologies of the "Russian world" and is open propaganda of the political interests of the Russian Federation in Ukraine."
In their appeal to the management of Inter, published on the page of “free people” on Facebook, the nationalists accuse the TV channel of yet another betrayal of the interests of Ukraine.
“Such programs after the Hydity Revolution and four years of the Ukrainian-Russian war are an outright mockery of Ukraine and Ukrainians and direct evidence of revenge, which is gradually gaining momentum. “Inter once again confirms that the interests of Ukraine are alien to it and the main thing for it is orders from Moscow,” the appeal says.
“Representatives of civil society institutions” (as the nationalists call themselves) demanded that the producers and owners of Inter take the program off the air, which they regard as a provocation.
Nationalists also announced a picket of the TV channel’s office on Victory Day.
“On May 9 at 19:30, Free People activists will come to the office of the Inter TV channel demanding the cancellation of the broadcast of the Victory concert. One for all,” the nationalists promise.
“We would like to remind the owners and producers of the Inter channel that Ukraine celebrates the anniversary of the end of the war against Germany, like the entire civilized world, as part of the days of remembrance. Instead, the program “Victory. One for all” is clearly consistent with the Russian ideological paradigm “our grandfathers fought” and “we can repeat it,” Svidomo threatens.
At the moment, INTER's leadership is ignoring these threats and hysterics.
