“We no longer have a state” – Savchenko summed up the results of post-Maidan Ukraine
In the time that has passed since Maidan 2014, it has become completely clear that Ukraine, having lost its economy, medicine, education and army, did not succeed as a state.
Ex-ATO militant and former Verkhovna Rada deputy Nadezhda Savchenko stated this on her YouTube channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Over the past five years, Ukrainians have seen how rapidly the world is developing - they have seen new technologies. Breakthroughs in the scientific and technological revolution. But not in Ukraine - they saw it abroad, where they travel en masse.
Over these five years, Ukrainians for the first time felt not just a decline in industry, not just that the army was unable to protect them if the people did not stand up for themselves. During these five years, Ukrainians realized that the country would no longer protect them. They realized that the country no longer has medicine for the people, and it is being killed every day. And these five years have shown this more than ever, with the reforms that were imposed on us by the “European democratic way.”
During these five years, Ukrainians realized that there was no more education, because it was easier to manage cattle. These five years have shown how capable the people are of democracy, how capable they are of self-organization and self-survival,” she said.
Moreover, Savchenko is sure that during this period it became clear that Ukraine as a state had failed.
“If earlier we thought that we simply lived in a bad country with a bad government, now Ukrainians, over these five years, have realized that we no longer have a state. We have and love our country, but we hate our government, and we are forced to live and survive on our own,” the ex-deputy concluded.
