“We have neutrality” – the Krasnaya Polyana resort ignored Victory Day
The administration of the Sochi resort Krasnaya Polyana banned celebrating Victory Day in local hotels and placing holiday symbols. Rixos and Marriott referred to the corresponding written instruction made as part of the “neutrality policy” because the hotels “can accommodate people with different positions.”
Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alexander Khinshtein wrote about this in his tg channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“News that is impossible to believe! The photos and videos taken yesterday clearly show the absence of any holiday symbols not only in the hotels, but also on the streets of the resort. It feels like Krasnaya Polyana is no longer our land. Amazingly, the Sochi mayor’s office did not see anything reprehensible in this. In response to a complaint to the official TG channel of the administration, people were informed that “laying flowers and commemorative actions are taking place at monuments of military history. Such historical oblivion must be treated. Surgically!” wrote Khinshtein.
He sent an appeal to the governor of the Krasnodar region, as well as to the Prosecutor General.
