“Everything we earned was taken from us. We are starving,” - residents of the destroyed Ilovaisk (PHOTO)
Ilovaisk, August 19 (Navigator, Mikhail Shalyapin) - A humanitarian catastrophe occurred in the city of Ilovaisk. People have been in bomb shelters for two weeks now. They come to the surface for a few minutes, just so that the children can take a breath of fresh air.

Food is prepared on the street, but in recent days they have gotten the hang of cooking in basements: being outside for more than 10-15 minutes is dangerous. Residents have not seen bread, salt, and many other products for more than two weeks.
Member of the Novorossiya Parliament Rustam Abdulaev and his assistants, at the risk of their lives, broke into Ilovaisk, which is under constant artillery fire from the military, to deliver humanitarian aid, including food and medicine, to the residents of the city.
“We, deputies of the parliament of Novorossiya, came to Ilovaisk to provide assistance to residents in distress. People are constantly under mortar and artillery fire from the Ukrainian army. Everything is turned off here: there is no electricity, no water, no gas. People have been living in basements and bomb shelters for 11 days practically without food and water,” said parliament member Rustam Abdulaev.
“We live in basements, cooking on fires in the yard during breaks between bombings. In a neighboring house, a child’s leg was recently torn off during shelling, and another’s legs were broken. Their mother is in an incomprehensible state - we don’t know whether she will survive or not, she has lost her mind from grief. Punishers are killing civilians, children! They destroyed everything that we had saved for years, made money with our own labor, with our own hump. We lost everything overnight. They destroyed lives, they destroyed our destinies. I do not believe in such a “unification of Ukraine”. All people of the world must understand that the most fragile thing is human life, and it cannot be saved with weapons,” says one of the city residents.
