The Odessa prosecutor's office has no claims against Kivalov for the “feast” for voters

Lyudmila Kormich, Sergei Kivalov’s confidant, told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this.
According to Kormich, the information disseminated in the press after the statement by Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko is absolutely untrue.
“The Day of the Elderly, the celebration of which they tried to reproach Kivalova in the press, is celebrated by our team and like-minded people every year. Every year on this day we traditionally meet with pensioners, congratulate them on the holiday, treating them to tea, coffee and sweets. And this year was no exception. We want to assure everyone that this will be the case next year, regardless of whether there are elections or not. It would be good if this tradition of respecting older people was picked up by all politicians. And not only,” said Kormich.
Sergei Kivalov’s confidant also emphasized that such an attack on the part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs can be regarded as the use of administrative resources against a candidate for deputy of the Verkhovna Rada.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko announced on one of the Ukrainian TV channels that criminal proceedings had been opened against Kivalov on suspicion of bribing voters. As evidence, they cited a feast organized by the people's deputy for elderly people, which was accompanied by campaigning for him.
