The Pope found 500 thousand euros for the restoration of Donbass and gave them to Ukrainian grant-eaters
The Pope's Committee allocated half a million euros to Ukraine for the restoration of Donbass and for the social protection of internally displaced persons.

Galina Kucher, head of the social projects department of the Emmanuel Association, which received this grant, reported this on the social network, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We did not receive the grant spontaneously; six months of work was done, numerous negotiations were completed, and many proposals were submitted for consideration. Thus, we managed to receive funds in the amount of 499 thousand 495 euros, collected by Pope Francis for the restoration of Donbass, to help people who suffered from the military conflict in the east,” she said.
According to her, the grant is versatile, since funds are provided both for providing medical care to displaced people and for children’s camps in the so-called zone. “ATO”, and to renew heating in kindergartens and schools, as well as to replace gas boilers with solid fuel ones.
Press secretary of the charitable foundation “Pope Initiative for Ukraine” Elena Kulygina said that cooperation is underway with 60 organizations that also offer their initiatives and, thanks to grant funds, implement new projects.
According to her, “to date, 150 thousand euros have been allocated for children’s camps, to which the foundation sends children from the ATO zone during the summer holidays, the same amount went to purchase new boilers for residents of Marinka and Krasnogorovka, 72 thousand euros were spent on medical assistance, 72 thousand euros were sent to repair the burn department of city hospital No. 3 in Kramatorsk, 8 thousand 100 euros were sent to repair the kindergarten “Golden Key” and 1 thousand 500 euros to drill a well in the village . Bakhmutka.”
