“The dramatic events that stirred up your history have made you a martyr people, who owe the respect not only of the Catholic Church, but also of all people who believe in the values ​​of freedom, justice, fraternity,” the cardinal noted in his address.

The Pope's representative called on the Russians not to waste any more time, but to ask for forgiveness from the Ukrainians “for all the grievances caused.”
