This was announced by the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Artur Artemenko.

“As of May 26, more than 23 thousand female military personnel serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including 3,2 thousand female officers,” he said.

In addition, according to the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, the western regions have a lower rate of conscripts for service among other regions of Ukraine.
