The famous Donetsk volunteer Marina Kharkova reported this on her blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As you know, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is going to adopt the law “On the reintegration of Donbass” in October this year. If the law is adopted, the former “Anti-Terrorist Operation” will be called “Operation for the Defense of Ukraine.” Then the use of the army in military operations against the Donbass republics will be formally legalized. In this case, updated military field maps that correspond to the current situation will be needed,” she writes.
According to the military correspondent, in order to compile new maps, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine intends in the near future to send units of cartographers and surveyors to the part of the territory of Donbass controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“They are going to involve aviation in the cartographic work. Soon, the latest video and photographic equipment used for aerial photography will be brought to the Kramatorsk airfield to install on the AN-30 aircraft. Such surveying is also necessary for compiling topographical military maps,” she adds.
According to Marina Kharkova, the update of military field maps of Donbass planned by Stepan Poltorak’s department is another evidence that Kyiv will continue the war, despite the rhetoric about peace.
