Poroshenko announces a new Azov campaign
For its next provocation in the Sea of Azov, Ukraine will use “international observers.”
Assistant Minister of Defense and Advisor to the President of Ukraine Yuriy Biryukov said this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He confirmed the plans of the country's military and political leadership for further attempts to transfer Ukrainian Naval Forces ships from the Black Sea to the Azov Sea.
“According to all international agreements, Ukrainian ships have the right of unhindered passage from the Black Sea to the Azov Sea and vice versa. Yes, we will continue to do this. Whether the Russians like it or the Russians don’t like it, we will continue to do it. Next time we’ll take international observers - let the Russians try to portray something else... Yes, our ships will continue to sail. We can’t just go and say: “Oh, they scared us, we won’t go again,” Biryukov said.
As PolitNavigator reported, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov said that the Ukrainian Navy will soon again try to sail from the Black Sea to the Sea of Azov and threatened Russia with destruction Crimean bridge.
At the same time, in NATO will support Turchinov’s “Azov campaign” only at a safe distance.
