Poroshenko is afraid that having won, Zelensky will immediately dissolve parliament
The “secret plan” for the Verkhovna Rada, which is provided for in the 10 first steps of Ukrainian presidential candidate Vladimir Zelensky, which appeared in a number of media, if he is elected head of state, allegedly provides for the dissolution of the current convocation of the Ukrainian parliament.
This opinion was expressed by people’s deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction Vadim Denisenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Zelensky proposed 10 steps. A lot can be said about the impossibility of involving the United States in the Minsk format and the fact that it is not possible to pass a law on the withdrawal of capital due to the reinforced concrete position of the IMF. In fact, the key point is a secret plan for the Rada,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
“The essence of the plan is simple: collect 150 signatures of deputies on resignation. And early elections - according to the procedure, 60 days for elections,” the people’s deputy added.
Denisenko notes that there is a question as to which major parties will be ready to “reset their lists to zero” and the law on what kind of election system will be adopted.
According to him, negotiations are currently underway to return to the proportional system of electing people's deputies with closed lists.
