Poroshenko will be hysterical: PACE deputies confirmed their pro-Russian position
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe refused to hold a debate regarding the “poisoning” of Skripal and the Russian presidential elections in Crimea.
Verkhovna Rada deputy from the BPP, head of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE, Vladimir Ariev, announced this on his Facebook page.
“The PACE Bureau, with the voices of the left and socialists, refused to hold an urgent debate at the request of Great Britain, Ukraine and others on the topic of Salisbury, illegal elections in Crimea, etc. This is all against the backdrop of a corruption scandal in PACE on facts of bribery and undisguised lobbying, made public yesterday, where many deputies from Western Europe and not a single Ukrainian are mentioned in a negative context. Obviously, even this scandal did not help some colleagues abandon their surprisingly stable pro-Russian position and return to the principles that form the basis of the Council of Europe,” Ariev is indignant.
