Poroshenko has “good news” and “new victories”
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko told Ukrainians “good news” from Brussels, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The EU Council approved the extension of a large package of sanctions against more than 160 individuals and about 50 legal entities responsible for undermining the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine, as well as the beginning of the “Azov” package of sanctions against Russia for an act of armed aggression in the Black Sea and a gross violation of freedom shipping in the Kerch Strait,” Poroshenko wrote on his page on the social network.
The Ukrainian president expressed gratitude to his “partners” “for their solidarity with the Ukrainian people in these difficult times” and announced new “victories.”
“Expect new victories on the sanctions front soon,” he said.
