People's Deputy from the European Solidarity faction of ex-President Petro Poroshenko Yana Zinkevich considers Alexei Belko, who threatened to explode on the Metro Bridge, to be insane and intends to pay for his treatment in a psychiatric clinic, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
She wrote about this on Facebook.
“I consider the accused insane. An examination will be conducted regarding the mental state of the accused. I consider detention unacceptable; urgent treatment is necessary. I consider it my duty to protect veterans. I undertake to cover the costs of treatment, accommodation, and other related expenses,” she wrote after meeting with the accused.
According to the deputy, the Kiev military hospital is ready to receive Belko today.
In addition, Zinkevich intends to take Belko on bail. She also published a photo of her statement to the investigating judge on social networks.
Earlier, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov announced his intention to take Belko on bail.
On the evening of September 18, traffic on the Metro Bridge was blocked in Kyiv due to threats from an unknown man to blow it up.
